The Joanne and William Conway Nursing Scholarship will assist academically qualified students with unmet financial need enrolling in 麻豆视频鈥檚 Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The University will confer an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters in recognition of her unwavering commitment to public service, equality and justice. Judge Saint-Marc completed her undergraduate studies at Franklin听Pierce University, summa cum laude, and received her law degree from Northeastern University in 2009. Upon graduation, she served three years as a law clerk in the New Hampshire Supreme and Superior Courts. Judge Saint-Marc went on to specialize in labor and employment law with Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson, P.A., in Manchester, New Hampshire, becoming a shareholder in the firm in 2019.

A prominent leader in the legal community, Judge Saint-Marc is an active member of the New Hampshire Bar Association (NHBA). She is a graduate and past chair of the NHBA鈥檚 Leadership Academy, as well as past chair of NHBA鈥檚 Labor and Employment Section and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She previously served on the Board of the NH Women鈥檚 Bar Association as the Hillsborough County Representative and as Networking Director as well as on the Board of New Hampshire Legal Assistance.

Judge Saint-Marc is a lifelong New Hampshire resident and active participant in her local community. In addition to her dedicated service to 麻豆视频, she supports many organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua, the Bishop Estee and Ida Newman Scholarship Fund, and the American Heart Association. She is president of the board of directors for the Circle Program, a nonprofit organization that provides skills- and confidence-building opportunities to girls from low-income听families.

In recognition of her commitment and contributions, Judge Saint-Marc has received numerous awards. In 2018-2023, she was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star and a Super Lawyer. The following year, she was recognized as a member of New Hampshire鈥檚 鈥�40 Under Forty鈥� class, honored by the Union Leader. 麻豆视频’s Student Nurse Association received the Presidents’ Leadership award for its’ significant contributions to the campus as well and surrounding communities. Campus initiatives included the launch of a peer mentoring program, hosting group study nights, and the coordination of a Nurse Panel to engage alumni and current students as well as to highlight local opportunities for 麻豆视频 graduates. The Association’s community outreach included a Red Cross Blood Drive, toiletry and sock drive for the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter, as well as support provided to Girls Inc., local nursing homes, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The Day Cafe at St. Patrick’s Parish in Nashua is a valued community partner of 麻豆视频. Mr. Artemis Joukowsky

In collaboration, Temple Beth Abraham and 麻豆视频 welcome film director ,听who co-directed the documentary film听 to speak at their 2024 Holocaust Remembrance Day event. Starring Tom Hanks, the film traces Joukowky鈥檚 grandparents secret 1939 mission in Nazi-occupied Europe.

The event will be held at 麻豆视频 on Tuesday, May 7, in the Dion Center at 16 Clement Street in Nashua at 7 p.m.

Artemis Joukowsky III is an American film director, author, producer, and disabilities activist. He is best known for his work on the documentaries 补苍诲听,听as well as several other films and books. Joukowsky is the grandson of听听补苍诲听, who helped endangered Jews and other refugees flee from the Nazis. To honor his grandparents鈥� bravery and sacrifice, he wrote, co-directed and co-produced The Sharps鈥� War with , which first aired on PBS in 2016.

Joukowsky will share excerpts of his film and explore what motivated the Sharps鈥� mission, the dilemmas they faced, and what we can learn today from their courageous actions.

In addition to Joukowsky鈥檚 presentation and a question-and-answer session, a candle-lighting ceremony will be held memorializing Holocaust victims. Temple Beth Abraham鈥檚 Zimria Choir will perform with the Nashua Community Interfaith Choir at this observance.

Designed for upper-level students to live more independently, each apartment suite contains four-to-six bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a living room, a full kitchen, and washer and dryer units.

With an increase in the number of student-athletes and business and nursing matriculations, the two new residence halls proactively address growing enrollments at the University while providing additional on-campus housing options.
